About Hannie

I'm Hannie, the brain and hands behind Hannie's Hantverk. Everything in the store is designed and made by me. I was born in the Netherlands and learned to knit from my mum at age three. Yarn has been a part of my life in one way or another ever since and creating handmade textiles truly is my passion.

These days I'm based in the beautiful countryside of Hälsingland, Sweden. My red wooden studio is nestled between the lake and the forest, a stone's throw from my home. It houses my two floor looms, spinning wheel, large quantities of wool & oodles of yarn and is my creative happy place.

I have a preference for clean lines and in my work with wool I love to make colours stand out through the use of texture.
